Annette Johnson was born in London and
lives in Lee Green. She started painting
during her time in Boston America. She
studied at Sir John Cass College of Art and
at Morley College. Annette has her own
Etching Studio in South London where
she works as a full time Painter/Printmaker.
Annette also runs regular workshops and pain-
ting classes.
She is a member of:
- The National Society of Painters, Sculptors
and Printmakers.
- Society of Women Artists. |

- Elected as member of the Working Artists Group at the Arts Club,
Dover Street.
She has exhibited at The Royal Society of Marine Artists, National
Society of Painters, Sculptors and Printmakers, The Royal Academy, The
Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, The Society of Women Artists,
Westminster Central Hall, Concourse Gallery in Barbican and the Society of
Botanical Artists.
She also held One-Person-Exhibitions at, the Royal Exchange Theatre,
Manchester; St. Owens Manor, Jersey; The Courtyard Gallery; The Vault
Gallery, Antibes (South of France); Fairfield Halls, Croydon; The Headcorn
Gallery, Rye and The London Lighthouse.
Tom Phillips chose to mention her work in his coverage of Print 86
Exhibition on Kaleidoscope, Radio 4. She was in the finals of the Whatman
National Print Exhibitions, Royal Festival Hall. Sainsbury's Homebase has
used one of her etchings for their gift voucher. One of her oil paintings
has been used in the Centenary Book of the Newlyn Gallery, Cornwall
